When Qype announced their new API just weeks ago we knew that finally we could improve Qype the way we always wanted: Add maps! Big, global, fancy maps.
So we grabbed all those nice Qype places (only restaurants, cafés and the like for now) and added our homegrown mapping framework, Maptoolkit, with which MaptheQ.com was a matter of hours.
Our technology features high-end clustering, caching functionality, fulltext search and much more - and it comes along with lots of data.
We are a bunch of maps developers based in Vienna who have created applications like Bikemap.net and Runmap.net and licence our mapping framework for use in large-sized web projects, mainly to publishing houses and tourism organizations. Get in touch if you want to join the party.
